From 14 May 2023, eligible travellers arriving to attend a meeting, conference, or convention held in the Maldives may be granted a 14-day Meeting Visa on arrival, provided all entry prerequisites are met.

Effective from 14 May 2023, a 14-day on-arrival Meeting Visa may be granted to foreign nationals visiting the Maldives to attend a meeting, conference, or convention—subject to satisfying all entry prerequisites.

Entry to the Maldives is not guaranteed even with a comprehensive travel plan (e.g., confirmed return tickets, prepaid confirmed accommodation, proof of sufficient funds). Under Sections 7 and 8 of The Maldives Immigration Act 2007, entry is permitted at the port of entry following an immigration officer's determination of eligibility.
