Meeting Visa
Short-Stay On-Arrival (14 Days)

From 14 May 2023, eligible travellers arriving to attend a meeting, conference, or convention held in the Maldives may be granted a 14-day Meeting Visa on arrival, provided all entry prerequisites are met.

1. The primary purpose of the visit is to attend/participate in a meeting, conference, or convention held in the Maldives:

• For permissible businesses accepted by the Registrar of Businesses; or
• For government/state use; or
• Arranged by other entities with approval from the concerned government authority.

2. A complete travel itinerary including confirmed return tickets, a prepaid confirmed booking at a registered hotel, and proof of sufficient funds for the stay.
3. Traveller Declaration filled and submitted electronically via IMUGA within 96 hours prior to flight time to Maldives.
4. A passport or travel document with Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) and at least 1 month validity. (Passengers with extended validity in their passports are not allowed to enter.)
5. Entry requirements to onward destinations (e.g., visa and passport validity).

• Meeting Visa is non-extendable.
• A Meeting Visa holder is not eligible to obtain a Business Visa while in the Maldives.

Entry to the Maldives is not guaranteed even with a comprehensive travel plan (e.g., confirmed return tickets, prepaid confirmed accommodation, proof of sufficient funds). Under Sections 7 and 8 of The Maldives Immigration Act 2007, entry is permitted at the port of entry following an immigration officer's determination of eligibility.
